Just after the nationwide launch of Alexa+, Amazon has now kicked off its official 2026 President’s Day sale. While there is still a good chance we see some additional gear get discounted over the weekend and on Monday of next week, there are already some solid early deals live on in-house Amazon Devices. Amazon has now officially launched its new, smarter, and more conversational Alexa+ AI assistant nationwide as of this morning. While all Prime members can now access it FREE of charge, you’ll need to pay $20 a month otherwise for its updated feature set. And alongside its full roll out this morning, we are also tracking some solid price drops on Amazon’s latest and most powerful Alexa+-compatible Echo gear, including the Echo Show 8/11 and its new smart speakers – Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio – among others. Much like Samsung before it and the new LG Wallpaper and Gallery TVs announced at CES 2026, Amazon is stepping into the lifestyle TV space. It has just officially announced the all-new Amazon Ember Artline – “a beautiful 4K QLED TV featuring support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Wi-Fi 6, and a thin 1.5-inch design.” 

This morning Amazon is serving up the first deals of the year on Kindle devices. This includes the now previous-generation Kindle Scribe – it is quite similar to the newer and more pricey $499 model – at up to $140 off the list price alongside the latest base Kindle from $89.99 shipped and Kindle Colorsoft down at $199.99 shipped, or $50 off.

Alongside the new Kindle Colorsoft, Ring gear, Blink cams, and more, the headliner reveal of today’s show is the long-awaited next-generation Echo smart speakers and Echo Show smart displays. 

As part of today’s live event in NYC, the all-new Kindle Scribe Colorsoft has been revealed. This new reader-meets-tablet takes on all of the stylus action of the existing Kindle Scribe, but as the name suggests also delivers a full color screen like that of the existing Kindle Colorsoft. There’s some other new models too.

Today could be a big day for the Amazon Devices team as it is set to take the stage in NYC to reveal what appears to be the next-generation of Echo devices (likely some Kindle and Fire TV action too). While much of its current lineup of Echo smart speakers and devices, as well as some Kindles and the Fire TV Sticks are already seeing as much as 50% price drops as part of the early Prime Big Deals Days sale, the next-generation models appear to be on the horizon, and we will know all about them this morning.
