Elon Musk says Tesla might never bring its new ‘Model YL’, a new six-seat variant of the Model Y launched in China this week, to the US, and the reason for this is ridiculous.

He thinks Tesla won’t need it because of, you guessed it: autonomy.

Tesla has officially launched the Model YL, a new, larger Model Y with 6 seats, in China, and it starts at 339,000 Chinese Yuan, the equivalent of about $47,000 USD.

Tesla has announced the new ‘Model YL’, a larger 6-seater Model Y with a longer wheelbase, coming to China this fall.
