Rumor had it we would be getting the next Nintendo Direct this week, and Nintendo has now confirmed as much. The next Nintendo Direct will go live tomorrow at the usual time. Details below. 

While we await the next title to land in the coveted GameCube library, and just after getting a chance to get an early hands-on look at the new Virtual Boy, Nintendo has just officially revealed a Switch Online February 2026 update with a pair of new additions to the Game Boy library. 

Sony is finally ready to give us our first look at MLB The Show 26 gameplay today, and pre-orders are now live ahead of release on on March 17. It has also announced that you can “receive 10% off your Digital Deluxe Edition pre-order if you have purchased any digital version of MLB The Show that’s been released since MLB The Show 21.” Details below.

Alongside the holiday PlayStation 5 Flowering Chaos Bundles with $100 in savings still rolling, Sony has now taken to the official PlayStation Blog to reveal next month’s PlayStation Plus monthly FREE games. 

Alongside a host of ongoing Switch deals in the Woot Mega Game sale, it has also brought back a pair of its first-party discounts on some Switch 2 titles. If you’re somehow still looking for a copy of Mario Kart World it is seeing a nearly 15% price drop right now at $69while the enhanced Switch 2 Edition of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is also now over 15% off at$59 – shipping is free on both for Prime members (a $6 delivery fee will apply otherwise). While these deals don’t seem all that deep, price drops on these two Switch 2 editions have been hard to come by. While this weekend was all about the Super Mario Galaxy Movie Nintendo Direct and getting our first look at Yoshi, not to mention the new Talking Flower going up for pre-order via Amazon at $35, this week it’s Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. Nintendo has announced the next Direct livestream and it is set to go live in a few day’s time. 

If you are, for some reason, one of the only folks out there with a Switch 2 that doesn’t have a copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you might want to consider this deal. Nintendo just recently released the Switch 2 Edition alongside some additional content for the game, but the Switch 2 Edition will run you $65. That’s almost certainly worth it, but you could also scoop up the Switch 1 edition on sale for $44.99 Prime shipped at Woot and then grab the $6.99 upgrade pack from Nintendo to land the same package for $52. Chances are it’s going to be a long while before we see the proper Switch 2 edition down at a price like that. “Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition features enhanced resolution, mouse control support for faster and easier decorating, a megaphone for calling your animal residents that uses the system microphone, and more.”

Nintendo announces release date for new physical Talking Flower collectible, pre-orders live today

The first Xbox Developer Direct event of 2026 goes live today. This will be our first Xbox dev showcase in quite some time and it all goes live down below starting at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. 

Today Nintendo announced the official release date for the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park alongside a new trailer. You can check that out right here, but we are also tracking a deal on the original Switch 1 version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder down at $46.99 Prime shipped via Woot. Regularly $60, this is the lowest price around and Nintendo has officially confirmed “you’ll be able to access the new content by purchasing an upgrade pack” today as well. It has confirmed the $20 price tag on the upgrade, and that means, much like the other Switch 2 Edition releases of Switch 1 games, you’ll be able to land the discounted copy here today and purchase the upgrade pack for less. 

These new features and more are available when Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park launches on March 26. If you already have the original Super Mario Bros. Wonder game and Nintendo Switch 2, you’ll be able to access the new content by purchasing an upgrade pack⁴. Pre-orders for the Super Mario Bros. Wonder upgrade pack begin today on My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo announces release date for new physical Talking Flower collectible, pre-orders live today

Alongside the new overview trailer for Nintendo’s adorable Talking Flower collectible from Super Mario Bros. Wonder, we are also getting some details on the actual game itself. We already knew the Switch 2 edition and an expansion were on the way this spring, but Nintendo has debuted a new trailer and announced the official release date alongside some special edition amiibo too. 

Update: Amazon is now offering its first post-launch cash discount on Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Nintendo Switch 2 Edition at $64.99 shipped. 

The third entry to the brilliant Little Nightmares series launched last summer on Switch 2 and now Amazon is offering back down at the best price to date. You’ll now find Little Nightmares III on Nintendo Switch 2 down at $29.83 with free shipping for Prime members or in orders over $35. This is a regularly $40 boxed copy that is 25% off the going rate to match the Amazon all-time low. This is also only the second time we have seen this one down at under $30. For the record, the PS5 version is also down at $30 Prime shipped right now as well. 

Today’s game deals post is headlined by one of last year’s best side-scrolling action titles – NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound. Amazon is now offering the Switch edition down at $33.21 while the PS5 version is selling for $34, both with free shipping for Prime members or in orders over $35. Regularly $40, deals have been relatively hard to come by on this one with the Switch version now siting at a new Amazon all-time low and the PS5 copy at sitting within few bucks (this one was down a few bucks lower earlier this week). While Amazon is still offering a nice little price drop on the wonderful Donkey Kong Bananza for Nintendo Switch 2 at $62.99 shipped, Best Buy’s Winter sale is now in full swing with some game deals of its own. You’ll find a series of PS5 and Xbox titles like Borderlands 4 down at $41.99 and Ninja Gaiden 4 at $39.99, both regularly $70, but there are also some notable Switch 2 games marked down as well. Those include Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Nintendo Switch 2 for $49.99 as well as a deep deal on WWE 2K25 at $24.99, from the regular $70 list price.

Nintendo is continuing to update its popular Switch 2 GameCube library and now that we have moved into 2026 it’s time to take an updated look at the lineup.
