While perhaps not for everyone, I have found the Power Bug to be a rather handy solution – it’s literally a MagSafe charging stand you can use in any outlet with no cables needed. Following recipes in the kitchen, or just for using your “iPhone hands-free in landscape or portrait for StandBy mode, for video calls, or as a smart display,” it has been far more useful than I thought it would.
