Score Mario Bros. Wonder down at $47 before the Switch 2 Edition upgrade goes live

Super Mario Bros Wonder Mario Day 2024

Today Nintendo announced the official release date for the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park alongside a new trailer. You can check that out right here, but we are also tracking a deal on the original Switch 1 version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder down at $46.99 Prime shipped via Woot. Regularly $60, this is the lowest price around and Nintendo has officially confirmed “you’ll be able to access the new content by purchasing an upgrade pack” today as well. It has confirmed the $20 price tag on the upgrade, and that means, much like the other Switch 2 Edition releases of Switch 1 games, you’ll be able to land the discounted copy here today and purchase the upgrade pack for less.

These new features and more are available when Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park launches on March 26. If you already have the original Super Mario Bros. Wonder game and Nintendo Switch 2, you’ll be able to access the new content by purchasing an upgrade pack4. Pre-orders for the Super Mario Bros. Wonder upgrade pack begin today on My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2.

Siri’s iOS 27 upgrade sounds exactly right. Apple’s AI pin sounds exactly wrong

Two big Apple AI stories today, and they couldn’t feel further apart. First is Apple reportedly embracing chat as an interface for using Siri and AI throughout iOS and macOS later this year. That sounds like an amazing change of tune for the company. Apple would argue it isn’t a pivot away from avoiding chat, they just think chat is only useful if it’s deeply integrated with the system. Second is Apple developing an AI wearable pin. What strikes me about this one is how much it feels like a bad idea while the possibility of Jony Ive doing the same thing for OpenAI actually works.

Tesla patents ‘clever math trick’ for HW3, but nothing points to delivering promised self-driving

Tesla Full Self-driving computer

Tesla has published a new patent that describes a way to squeeze more performance out of its aging HW3 self-driving computers. While the technology is interesting, nothing points to it actually enabling Tesla to deliver on its long-standing promise of unsupervised self-driving on HW3 vehicles.

In 2016, Tesla announced that all vehicles produced thereafter would become capable of “Full Self-Driving” — at one point, CEO Elon Musk even specified “level 5 self-driving,” which means capable of driving anywhere, anytime, under any condition.

We are approaching a decade since that promise, and it’s nowhere close to being fulfilled.

In fact, it looks like Tesla is doing everything it can to not fulfill its promise to HW3 owners.
